Waxing a String.
As a Professionalstring builder here are some good guide lines.
String material is asynthetic material or plastic.
String materialcomes coated with wax (so each strand is coated)
Servings are notcoated in wax
Serving should notbe waxed. Why because wax is sticky and will attract dirt into thecams, etc, etc
Heat is not good fora string Sun, hair dryer, Heat gun etc etc. Why because it distortsthe string material and damages it.
Over waxing is notgood it attracts dirt and builds up and stiffens the string material.
General rule ofthumb for waxing your string, wax it when the material starts tofuzz. Simple its what the pros do! No need to go over board. When youhave shot enough and the string shows fuzzing wax it.
thanks!!!! My bow was given to me all fugged up I had to improvise just to be able to put a arrow rest on it

normally the bolt provided with the rest would just screw into the bow but there wasn't anything for it to attach to so I went to the local hardware store and got a bolt and a nut it works great
That's what I call improvising.![]()
