    Salmon Fishing?

Anyone else getting the itch to hunt down some big chinooks? There are already salmon running the Beaver Rv which means the Saugeen won't be far behind... Tossing big glow cleos before sunrise, floating fat bags of roe through fast water or trolling JPlugs behind a tin boat- what's your favorite tactic?

This is a video i shot two years ago of a buddy with a nice Chinny...

This is one i hooked a few years back too...

Great video Bobby and great fish! I have never fished for Salmon before. Not lucky enough to have them near by.
    Hopefully some day.

If you are up near Ottawa you are closer to them than you may realize. The Northeastern shores of lake Ontario are already seeing runs and those brutes are typically twice as big as the Lake Huron salmon. After any decent rain in the next few weeks head out to the mouth of a river and either troll with big lures or cast glowing spooners at the crack of dawn + bring a big net.

Good to know Bobby. I am actually in Pembroke and not really that close but close enough to plan a trip.

Really nice fish, I wish I lived close to some salmon fisheries. Only big fish we have up here is sturgeons and northern pikes.

Nice fish you caught Indeed! The all I wish is to caught some big sized salmon fishes for the upcoming fishing season! I suggest you to just give a try to northern pikes beach!
