My name is Jason I am a 37 years old. This coming deer season will be my 1st hunting season and I am really looking forward to it. My little brother who is 3 years younger then myself has been bugging me for years to go deer hunting with him and he even gave me an old Martin Bow to get fixed up and ready for this coming season which I found out is no easy task, But I am trying to manage. I live in Central Illinois but I am originally from Southern California (Family is from here). If anyone has any questions feel free to ask I am an open person. I also am open to learning tricks and skills for hunting

Thank you very much for that great introduction, Jason. I think it is fantastic that your younger brother has convinced you to take up this great sport. My very fist bow was also a Martin. I absolutely loved it.

How are you making out with setting up your Martin bow? What have you had to do to fix it up? Anything we can help with?

well @hillbilly my bow string started to fray so Im gonna have to get that replaced. I'm guessing the strings were dry and old so when I attempted to put my peep sight in the strands started to break

You are going to have to change the string right away, especially if it is fraying. Can be be a little dangerous.

How is everyone doing!?!?!? Sorry I haven't been on in a while I have been really busy. But I have an update I purchased my hunting license and as soon as they become available I will be getting my deer tags. I also decided not to continue using the Martin Bow my little brother gave me I went ahead and purchased a new bow and I love it!!!!!

I am doing great Jason! I just returned from my annual 7-day walleye fishing trip. (Will post about it once I have the pics organized)
Congrats on the new bow purchase. What did you purchase? Got any pics?
Congrats on the deer tag purchase. You are only a short wait now till the hunt.
