Your welcome. I'm a retired navy veteran who loves the outdoors. I'm currently just getting into whitetail hunting. I currently live in Virginia where I've leased 300 acres out in Danville, VA area. Looking for chatting and talking about whitetail deer as I'm a novice in this area of hunting and any help/tips are always welcomed.
Yeah not to bad, the fields are of tobacco which I'm not to sure they really enjoy or even if they will eat it, everything I've read says they will eat it as a last resort. There are plenty of signs of Deer, Bear and as far as I can tell I've gotten about 3 bear on camera. Also it is about 75% timber and it has a ton of acorn trees also have a branch that runs along the back of the property and two ponds. I've got plenty on picture now its just trying to find the bedding area and rubs, but I think its a little to late to be roaming thru the woods looking for that.
Actually, it is not too late to find rubs. In fact, they are just starting to rub or have been rubbing.
Acorns are a great thing and is a great place to look for a feeding area.
Agree, I was more worried about stinking up the woods. I went opening weekend and it was extremely hot. I was going to stay a week but only hunting the weekend.
