    Spring Smallmouth

    Sunday June 3 2012
Out this morning trying to get some Pike or Rainbows after 2 days of rain.
The river was up about a foot and dirty with soot and debris.
    No luck...
But I did catch and release 2 nice Smallmouth Bass.
Both caught on chartreuse trout spinners.
One about 3.5 - 4 lbs and one at 1 lb

Looking forward to getting some of these in the fry pan in a couple of weeks!

Nice Bass @Wyatt! You are lucky to live by a body of water with such diverse species. I am envious.

I too can not wait for Bass season to open. I live fishing smallies and I live on the Ottawa River were there are plenty. I will post some pics soon, I hope.
